6 Top Cars from Fast and Furious

In honour of the upcoming Fast and Furious 6 movie, the petrolheads in the ALA office have chosen what we think are the 6 best cars from the franchise so far. With the sixth installment due for UK release on 17th May and the seventh installment already given its release date for 2014, these are arguably the most successful car films of all time.

The franchise has made more than $1.5 billion revenue worldwide from the movies alone, not to mention additional money from video games and replica models of the characters and cars.

So take a look at our favourites below – these are only our opinion so if you disagree let us know what your list would look like!

Too Posh to Push?

BMW recently advertised the latest addition to their range.

BMW Buggy for ALA GAP Insurance

As you’d expect, it has four wheels. It also has BMW’s Efficient Dynamics as standard. It even has a Nurse-Assisting Petrol Powered Injection Engine (N.A.P.P.I.E.). And it is also an April Fool Joke.

You might have see it in our earlier post that BMW are renowned for poking fun at themselves each year on 1st April and this year was no exception. The ‘launch’ of the P.R.A.M. (Postnatal Royal Auto Mobile) was in honour of the imminent arrival of the baby of William and Kate – the design even includes “air-conditioning and paparazzi-proof hood”!

Whilst this was only a prank, other manufacturers have actually releases prams or pushchairs as part of their brand extensions.

Porsche Baby Stroller for ALA GAP InsurancePorsche

Although yet to be priced or released, Porsche have designed a baby buggy which matches the sleek design of its car range.

It has a minimalist and ultramodern look, reflected in the leather and carbon fibre styling, and is specially designed to fit into the tiniest of boot spaces. Having said that its all very well being able to fit the pushchair into the Porsche, the problem would be trying to fit the baby in!

Aston Martin Pram for ALA GAP InsuranceAston Martin

Similarly the crème de la crème of British sports cars has teamed up with its pram-making counterpart, Silver Cross to release the most exclusive, pram in the world.

The buggy comes complete with spoked alloy wheels, an Alcantara leather lined seat and innovative air-ride suspension.

At £2000 the designer buggy is limited to just 800 models worldwide, with each being distinguished by its engraved aluminium plaque and certificate of authenticity.

Ferrari Baby Buggy for ALA GAP InsuranceFerrari

Ferrari’s version – the Beebop Ferrari Buggy – comes complete with Ferrari logo and Cavallino Ramparte Shield and is a comparative snip at around £250.00!

They’re by no means the cheapest baby buggies around – but if you’ve got an Aston Martin or a Porsche (and a baby!) then why not let the little ones travel in style as well?
