Andy Murray’s Car

Andy Murray may not be the most ostentatious tennis star in the world but that hasn’t stopped him treating himself to some stunning cars. In the BBC documentary ‘Andy Murray: The Man Behind the Racquet’, Murray revealed that in the past he has owned a Ferrari F430, an Aston Martin and a Jaguar XKR. In 2015 Murray’s success at the BMW Open saw him drive away with the BMW i8.

Arguably the greatest tennis player of all time, Roger Federer is also one the biggest Mercedes fans ever – so much so the car manufacturer made him a Mercedes-Benz Brand Ambassador. One of Federer’s favourite cars is the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster. He even appeared in a test drive in 2011 for it, and more recently he appeared in the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe commercial in 2016.

More recently he has become the new ambassador for Peugeot, starring in an Anuncio Peugeot 208 advert in 2014.

Until her recent drug-doping controversy, Maria Sharapova was seen as the golden girl of women’s tennis. During her peak she was so successful that she won a number of stunning sports cars. The most memorable car Sharapova won was the blue Porsche 911 Carrera 4s at Porsche Tennis Cup Stuttgart – which she apparently gave to her boyfriend. Her love affair with Porsche goes further as the car manufacturer signed her to represent the Porsche AG. In 2014 Sharapova even put her name on the Porsche Panamera GTS, a bespoke luxury car that can be modified by owners.
