All cars are allocated to an insurance group numbered 1 to 50, with group one usually being the cheapest to cover.
The insurance group is based on various factors and group 1 cars tend to be cheaper which would cost less to repair. It would also usually have fewer features with a small engine and not much in the way of power – think of nippy city cars and you’re on the right lines. They’re not for everybody but if a small run-around is suitable for you, you could end up saving on insurance!Young drivers
